A space story

Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2: Angela - Brian Michael Bendis, Sara Pichelli, Francesco Francavilla, Olivier Coipel, Valerio Schiti, Kevin Maguire

Well, welcome Angela. :)

I have to admit, this comic gets a lot of points for me just by being *fun.* The character interactions are entertaining, their relationships make sense and affect every interaction, and they just seem to enjoy doing stuff together. Even dangerous stuff.

And I like all the characters as well. The Guardians are a given, and I loved that they got a new ongoing to go with the movie, since my old ones were getting a little dog-eared from rereads. The guest star spots for Iron Man and Angela were varying degrees of fun. Iron Man was great for the interplay with Rocket - and for seeing him when he's not the smartest guy in the room, which is always amusing. Angela was... less fun at first, but man was it worth it for a particular two pages of interplay with Gamora. <3

All that being said, this wasn't the greatest volume. A particular antagonist lasted a lot longer than I expected, and it left me feeling a bit bored. You could really feel in this as in other trades these days, that it was written FOR the trade. But eh. It was fun and I'm glad to have it on my shelves. :)
