Another decent book, but nothing really special. The story gave up a little of its atmosphere from the first volume in favor of action. The comic-book sections are better here than in the first book, but they're still vague and much lower quality than the prose sections. Anyone used to most any other comics will find them difficult to follow, though at least the stylization can be nice, especially on the constructs. All in all, a good read but not a great one and, like the first book, I wouldn't suggest this volume for adults unless you're really curious - this is definitely made for kids, with a certain ease of overcoming obstacles and a lack of consideration for consequences.
