Hey, we're getting back to the actual carnival corpse stuff and they're sort-of, kind-of acting like they're prisoners again. Woohoo!
This book was okay. Ganta is trying to get more comfortable with his place as a Deadman, but isn't finding it easy. Meanwhile on the outside, people are starting to get close to the truth and so the directors get out ahead of the issue. Which means - back to the cage fights!
This book would be higher on my rankings but for Ganta. He makes a couple big mistakes (well, sort of) in this book. One I'm not sure he could help, and I understand why it happened, plus it added stakes and tension and all that sort of awesome stuff. But the second... ugh. It didn't really make good sense, even if you can justify it. It really ended the book on a sour note for me.
