The Dark Tower, Volume 2: The Long Road Home - Peter David, Stephen King, Richard Ianove, Jae Lee, Robin Furth I'm not exactly sure what I think of the writing style in this, the second comic trade of the Dark Tower issues (the first shared this issue, but it wasn't as obvious).Long story short, there's a LOT of narration going on in this book. Not the characters saying things, but some overarching narrator speaking to the reader and explaining what's going on. I guess it works, but I don't tend to like it when any comic does this overmuch, and it was VERY overmuch here. That being said, the story is new as compared to the books I believe, and I like that it gives Alain and Cuthbert something more to do. The art is solid (does Jae Lee ever NOT have solid art?) and the colors are pretty amazing.
