Hogfather - Terry Pratchett At one point in this book, once character says of another's ingestion of dried frog pills, "I'm sure he wouldn't keep on eating them if they were addictive."That's how I feel about Pratchett's books. This, while an incredible book, is not my favorite of his by a long shot. And yet I was devouring every page, every line, immersing myself entirely in it. And even when someone puts a book of his in front of me I have to read it, even if it's characters I'm not as fond of. 'This book has a lot to offer, from the trademark humor and social commentary to engaging characters and a pretty deep treatise on the nature of belief and reality. It's a great holiday story, and I suspect I'll be watching the movie version at the holidays going forward. :)
