Batwing Vol. 1: The Lost Kingdom (The New 52) - Judd Winick One of the (very) few good things to come out of the slash-and-burn approach DC took to its comics at the end of 2012. Batwing is a sober, serious comic focusing on a mystery and on action, with a hero who actually feels like he's overcome real hardship and forged himself into a stronger person because of it. I've never really enjoyed most Batman comics, but this one hooked me and is one of the few monthlies I still buy.The art is mostly good, though one issue changed to a different artist and the art can sometimes get a hair cartoony and awkward.
