This was a good read, quick and adventurous, but ultimately held back a bit by its stylistic choices and a somewhat flat narrative. The characters aren't terribly complex and Deus Ex is pretty rampant, but the whole thing comes together reasonably well. Occasionally the prose takes a break and makes way for bits which are meant to mimic the titular Malice comic, but while they're a good idea, they're poorly executed. The art is bland and not very clear on what's happening. Really, it would hold the tenseness better if it just stuck to text. Also, if you're looking for a story for kids that adults can sink their teeth into, this isn't it. It's pretty tame. Good, but tame.
