I almost didn't read this. Collections of short stories or essays just aren't my thing. But in this case I am glad I tried it!
I was never one of the Wesley Haters, though I didn't like him overmuch either. But I could see the phenomenon in full force on the internet over the years. So it's not surprising to me that the spectre of that role hung over Wil Wheaton like a shadow for so long. But these blog posts, with bridging commentary filling in the gaps and betraying the lies, really painted a fantastic picture of artistic striving and, in the end, artistic actualization. It was pretty inspiring and very moving to read.
